Premiere des GameJam an der H-BRS ein voller Erfolg
Das Institut für Visual Computing (IVC) der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) hat erfolgreich seinen ersten offiziellen GameJam abgehalten. Drei Tage lang füllten kreative Energie, Nervenkitzel und jede Menge Spaß die Räumlichkeiten des IVC und die virtuellen Weiten des Internets. Der GameJam, ein Zusammentreffen von Spieleentwicklern, um gemeinsam innerhalb einer kurzen Zeitspanne ein Spiel zu entwickeln, fand online sowie in den Räumlichkeiten des IVC statt, darunter das eigens eingerichtete Game Studio.

From 19 to 21 July 15 German and international students spent 3 intensive days working on their Bachelor / Master thesis or R&D report – either in German or in English - and were guided and supported by Gabriele Menne-El-Sawy and Jill Yates.

Stem cell research: H-BRS again welcomes RISE scholarship holder
Professor Edda Tobiasch and her research team have once again welcomed a RISE scholar to their lab. Yanran Sun is in her third semester studying medical science and technology in the UK. She is now gaining her first practical experience in this research field in Professor Tobiasch's lab.

Review of FrOSCon 2023
The 18th FrOSCon took place on the campus of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS), University of Applied Sciences, on 5 and 6 August 2023 and was a great success despite the partly very wet weather. After last year, due to the Corona pandemic, only about 750 participants could be counted, this year about 1,300 visitors took part in the conference.

New cooperation with the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA
The Department of Management Sciences of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg concluded a new partnership with the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the United States of America. The cooperation agreement allows bachelor and master students from all departments of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg to study in the following programmes by paying tuition-fees: “International Diploma Program” and “University Immersion Program”.
