Research at the university
Research focus: Security Research
The focus on security research is interdisciplinary. It covers the areas of civil security (for example biometric systems, detection technologies for chemical substances), functional safety for machines (such as optical sensor technology and reliability assessments) and secure infrastructures.
The areas of IT and cyber security have become increasingly important. The long-standing focus on security research characterises the research profile of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and can be found on the research map of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK).
