Scholarships and Funding Programmes
Financing your studies with a scholarship offers a number of advantages. The financial support included in a scholarship usually does not have to be repaid. In addition, many scholarships include further support that goes beyond purely financial support.
There are various scholarship providers, for example the organisations for the promotion of gifted students supported by the Ministry of Education and Research. In contrast to BAföG funding, which is available to everyone who is eligible and submits an application, there is an application and selection process before scholarship funding is granted.
For some scholarships, you can apply before you start your studies, for others this is only possible afterwards. There are also some special scholarship offers for H-BRS students.
Selection criteria are good to very good performance at university or school, but also other criteria such as social commitment. Find out which scholarship might be suitable for you and your situation!
