Visit by a high-ranking delegation from Tanzania

Getting to know each other better and exchanging ideas about further opportunities for cooperation: A high-ranking delegation from our partner university, the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) in Tanzania, visited H-BRS. The cooperation has been in place since 2019, with the Department of Social Policy and Social Security Studies in particular cooperating with the IFM, which has its main location in Dar es Salaam.

Around 16,000 students are enrolled at the IFM, which specialises in social security, insurance, banking and computer science. The delegation from Tanzania included IFM Rector Professor Josephat Lotto, his predecessor Professor Tadeo Satta and Dr Bernard Mnzava, who is currently setting up the Department of External Linkages. They spent two days visiting various departments and exchanging ideas with H-BRS researchers and employees. The visit was organised by the university's International Office. A return visit by an H-BRS delegation to Tanzania is planned for next March.
