Afghan TV presenter learns German at H-BRS
Khushal Asefi was a well-known television presenter in Afghanistan before the Taliban takeover forced him to flee. WDR Lokalzeit reported on Monday about Asefi's new start after fleeing, in which the university is also supporting him.

Where is up and where is down?
In a current study, a research team is trying to find out how different strengths of gravitational stimuli affect the perception of "upright" and "vertical" depending on sex and thus an improved understanding of orientation perception in humans. The scientists conducted experiments on this at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Cologne.

Jens Böcker zur Bonner Anti-Diskriminierungskampagne in der WDR Lokalzeit
Die Stadt Bonn hat eine Fotokampagne gegen Diskriminierung gestartet. Ein Jahr lang sind auf den Bildschirmen in Bussen und Bahnen Motive zu unterschiedlichen Formen von Diskriminierung zu sehen. Professor Jens Böcker ist Experte für Marketing am Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Hochschule. In der Lokalzeit aus Bonn erläuterte er am Montagabend im Studio, warum er bei der Kampagne der Stadt noch Verbesserungspotenzial sieht.

From the Remote Lab to the new E-race car - Formula Student presents itself at Yarmouk University (Jordan)
As an expert in transfer projects with Jordanian universities, Prof. Rainer Herpers, from the Department of Computer Science at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS), has been able to win over colleagues from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism (EMT) for the DAAD project "YURL - Remote Lab at Yarmouk University" in 2021, in order to set up the technical equipment there for teaching within the framework of Remote Labs, and above all to convey the technical and didactic know-how of the EMT colleagues to the Jordanian project partners.
