Digital Twin-4-Multiphysics Lab
The "Digital Twin-4-Multiphysics Lab" (DT4MP) combines engineering sciences and computer science in a unique network. The aim is to develop new machine learning methods and apply them to simulations and experimental technical systems.
Dynamics-Lab
Vibration analyses can be carried out in the dynamics laboratory. An electrodynamic shaker payload is available for this purpose. Vibration analysis is carried out classically via acceleration measurement and modal analysis or via an optical 3D measurement.
Energy Meteorology Lab
The laboratory is used to improve the prediction of radiation and thus improve the control of PV storage systems. It investigates grid-integrated PV hybrid systems with batteries and PV power-to-gas-to-power systems (photovoltaic systems) that are connected to hydrogen-metal hydride storage systems.
Hydrogen-Lab
The Hydrogen Lab offers a complete illustration of H2 cycles: From energy generation using solar technology and its conversion into H2, taking into account system technology, through storage and grid integration to electricity generation from stored H2.

In life cycle assessment (LCA), the environmental impact of a product, service, process or operation is recorded and evaluated.
Labs for Materials and Processes
The materials and processes laboratories specialize in materials analysis and the development of sustainable materials. They offer advice and support in the selection of optimal materials, optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes and quality defects and complaints.
Mobility Lab
The laboratory conducts research into innovative vehicle and drive concepts, battery energy storage solutions, bidirectional charging, control processes for system services, aerodynamics, mobility alternatives, route optimization, materials and sustainability analyses.
Power Electronics and Power Systems-Laboratory (PEPS-Lab)
Leistungselektronik ist eine Schlüsseltechnologie für eine sichere, stabile und nachhaltige Energieversorgung. Im Power Electronics and Power Systems-Laboratory (PEPS-Lab) wird an der nächsten Generation intelligenter und nachhaltiger Leistungselektronik geforscht. Simulation Lab
New multiscale simulation methods or optimization algorithms that deal with different types of minimization problems make it possible to select the optimal design solution from a multispace simulation result and identify optimal solutions.
Smart Factory
The Smart Factory is an Industry 4.0 model factory and offers a live demonstration of the entire production process, from customer orders in the web store to individual production and delivery.
