Umfangreiches Programm rund um freie Software: H-BRS lädt zur FrOSCon ein
Es ist eine der größten Veranstaltungen ihrer Art in Europa: Am Samstag, 5. August, und Sonntag, 6. August, findet in der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) die 18. Ausgabe der FrOSCon statt. Die „Free and Open Source Software Conference” bietet ein reichhaltiges Vortragsprogramm zum Thema quelloffene und freie Software.

Alternative propulsion on board: H-BRS develops technology for early detection of fires on ships
Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg has developed special sensor technology for the early detection of critical states of lithium batteries and fire hazards in gas or hydrogen/fuel cell-powered vehicles as well as for monitoring ferry decks.

The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has once again been awarded the title of Fairtrade University by Fairtrade Germany and will now carry the title for another two years.

Robotics team from the university is RoboCup world champion
The b-it-bots team from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has won the world championship title at RoboCup 2023 in Bordeaux, France. In the @work league of the robot tournament, the team of students from the Department of Computer Science beat their opponents from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and the University of Magdeburg into second and third place. It is the second success for the H-BRS team, which had already crowned itself world champion in 2019.

Motorsport team of the H-BRS presents the new electric racing car for the 2023 season
The motor sports team of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has presented the new electric racing car for the 2023 season. Students have almost completely redesigned the model called G23e in two years of work and equipped it with numerous technical refinements.

Von Samstag, 17. Juni, bis Sonntag, 18. Juni, sind in der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) anspruchsvolle Modelle aus Lego zu sehen. Modellbauerinnen und Modellbauer sowie Fans aus ganz Deutschland und mehreren Nachbarländern zeigen, was sich aus den bunten Steinen alles bauen lässt.

Hochschule bildet Studierende zu Future-Skills-Trainern aus
17 Studierende der H-BRS haben ihre Ausbildung zu Future-Skills-Trainerinnen und -Trainern erfolgreich abgeschlossen. In Zukunft werden sie eigene Kurse in den Bereichen digitale Kompetenz, Selbstmanagement und Resilienz leiten und so andere Studierende auf die Herausforderungen des Hochschulalltags in einer digitalisierten Welt vorbereiten. Die Ausbildung ist Teil des Forschungsprojekts SKILLS, mit dem die H-BRS den digitalen Wandel in der Lehre aktiv begleiten will.

Um den Druck auf Cyberkriminelle zu erhöhen haben NRW-Innenminister Herbert Reul, Präsident Thomas Grünwald ( Hochschule Niederrhein) und Präsident Hartmut Ihne (H-BRS) am den Kooperationsvertrag über die Zusammenarbeit am Cyber Campus Nordrhein-Westfalen unterzeichnet.

Roboternacht in der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg
Der Fachbereich Elektrotechnik, Maschinenbau und Technikjournalismus (EMT) der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) lädt von Freitag, 9. Juni, bis Samstag, 10. Juni, zur Roboternacht ein. Innerhalb von 24 Stunden werden Schülerinnen und Schüler einen Roboter bauen und auf einen Parcours schicken.
