Courses on the topic of Entrepreneurship

The Start-up-Manufaktur also focuses on the topic of entrepreneurship in its teaching. Various courses – from supplementary subjects to practical projects – take place every semester at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Here you can not only learn important skills on entrepreneurship, but also earn important ECTS points along the way. In addition to courses from the individual departments, the Start-up-Manufaktur also offers start-up-related workshops and seminars.

Would you like to turn your start-up idea into reality or actively shape transformations within a company - but also gain a Master's degree at the same time? Then the (newly designed) Start-up Development and Impact Innovations (MBA) course is just right for you! The focus is on your personal development, the development of your entrepreneurial skills and the promotion of innovations with a sustainable impact. We encourage you to develop an innovation with a clear purpose and taking social and ecological aspects into account.

The courses in the Entrepreneurship Curriculum are designed for students of all disciplines.

The Start-up-Manufaktur has been offering a cross-departmental start-up curriculum since WS 2021/2022. Students from all degree programs and semesters can take the courses. 

The curriculum is designed for four semesters and covers all essential areas of business start-up.

Unfortunately, due to personnel changes, we are currently unable to offer any courses as part of the Gründungswerkstatt.

Unless otherwise stated, students of the Department of Management Sciences can take the courses of the Entrepreneurship Curriculum as an elective subject/practical project. Students of other departments clarify the creditability of the courses with their responsible Examinations Office.

Makers of Tomorrow

As a partner university, we can offer all H-BRS students exclusive access to the online course "Makers of Tomorrow". The project, launched by the Chancellery, aims to encourage people to start their own businesses and introduces ten inspiring founders and their stories. 

The course consists of 10 modules that can be completed at one's own pace. A certificate will be issued upon completion of all modules. The offer is aimed at all students, regardless of subject, degree, and semester – explicitly no prior knowledge required!

After four successful semesters, the online course is currently not available anymore. As soon as this changes, we will let you know.

The Start-up-Manufaktur Summer School enables H-BRS students interested in founding a company to expand their knowledge of start-ups even during the lecture-free period through inspiring lecturers from the start-up scene and practice-oriented learning content in order to further pursue their dream of a start-up life.

Practical project „5 Euro StartUp“ (SS 2022)

"Start your idea." is the motto of the practical project "5 Euro StartUp", which was offered for the first time at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in the summer semester of 2022. The principle: realise your own business ideas - with the support of coaches and with little risk. The "5 Euro StartUp" enables those willing to start a business to establish their own company in the shortest possible time with five euros in start-up capital and to test it on the market.
