AG Data-Literacy
Dealing with data is an important part of scientific work for us. At the same time, the responsible handling of big data is becoming increasingly important in the digital age, as the digital transformation is massively expanding the possibilities, opportunities, and risks. Globalisation and digitalisation create and enable access to more information than ever before.
The large supply of data requires well-founded competencies both in data collection, content classification, appropriate analysis and interpretation, and in the conclusion and transfer of the insights gained to other circumstances, as well as the generation of knowledge and preparation of decisions - also in ethical terms.
The H-BRS has a wide range of expertise in the handling of data as well as the didactic transfer of corresponding knowledge and skills. The goal of this working group is to bundle existing initiatives into a common interdisciplinary approach, taking into account subject- and course-specific needs.
