German as a foreign language

If you are enrolled on an English-language degree programme at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, you can register for German courses to accompany your studies. If you are aiming for a German-language degree programme at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg but do not yet meet the language requirements, you can apply for the preparatory intensive German C1 course.

Intensive German C1 preparatory course

The preparatory intensive German C1 course is aimed at future applicants who wish to study a subject at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and fulfil the subject requirements but do not yet have an unsatisfactory knowledge of German.

Informationen on TestDaF

The TestDaF is intended to prove that you are linguistically qualified to take up a degree programme. This means that you must be able to understand, analyse, reproduce and comment on study-related texts. The Language Centre offers various test dates throughout the year.

DSH and equivalent exams

Applicants who have not obtained their study qualification at a German-speaking facility must provide proof of the German language skills required for their degree programme for admission.
