Information on admission and application for Master's programmes
Consecutive master’s degree programme (i.e. the bachelor’s degree must have been awarded in the same study field)
Anyone who can provide proof of a first university degree that qualifies for access to post-secondary education has access to a consecutive Master's degree programme if the Bachelor’s degree has been awarded in the same study field. The content of the Master’s degree programme builds on the Bachelor’s degree.
An accredited Bachelor's degree from a so-called Berufsakademie in Germany is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from a higher education institution.
For degrees that were not obtained in Germany, equivalence with German Bachelor' s degrees must be established. This assessment is based on the guidelines of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) and the Lisbon Recognition Convention, which are binding.
Continuing education Master’s degree programmes
Anyone who can provide proof of a first university degree that qualifies for access to post-secondary education and in addition can provide evidence of relevant professional experience of at least one year following the first professionally qualifying university degree has access to a continuing education Master's degree programme .
An accredited Bachelor's degree from a so-called Berufsakademie in Germany is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from a higher education institution.
