The Language Centre at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences currently offers language examinations in German and English for the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) language certificate. You can find more detailed information on the content of the examinations as well as test dates and registration modalities under the respective menu item.

DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) - Language Certificate

The DAAD language certificate serves as proof of your language skills and is required for scholarships, studies abroad or internships abroad together with the other application documents.

TestDaF

The TestDaF is designed to assess whether you have the language skills to complete a degree programme. If you pass the TestDaF with a result of TDN 4 in all sections, you fulfil the language admission requirements for all German-language degree programmes at H-BRS. The Language Centre offers regular test dates.

English Placement Test

All Bachelor's degree programmes at H-BRS require the successful completion of one or more language courses. As this is usually an English course, all students must take an English placement test at the beginning of their studies.

Here you will find a list of English language certificates accepted by H-BRS. Each section lists the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level in English required for admission as well as the most common language certificates.

German language certificates accepted by H-BRS

Applicants who have not obtained their study qualification at a German-speaking institution must provide proof of the German language skills required for their degree programme in order to be admitted.

If you need to pass a language proficiency test in order to study at a German university or abroad, please find out in due time which language proficiency test is required.
