Placement Test English

Most Bachelor's degree programmes at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg require the successful completion of one or more language courses (see required courses). As this is usually an English course, all students concerned must take an English placement test at the start of their studies.

This placement test is an adaptive online test. Students required to take the test will find additional information about the test and their access data in a LEA class provided by the Language Centre. In case of any further questions, please contact the coordinator for English for your respective department or course of studies.

The result you receive immediately after the test enables us to assign your language skills to a level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and allows the Language Centre to place you in a group for the required course that is as homogeneous in terms of performance as possible.

The placement test is administered by the Language Centre as part of the orientation weeks in the individual departments. Please note that participation in this placement test is a prerequisite for assignment to a group and the English test is therefore compulsory!
