Thomas Graner: Fighting species extinction with AI

In the fourth lecture of the lecture series on technology and environmental ethics, Thomas Graner, Vice President of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, will talk about how artificial intelligence can be used to stop the extinction of species. He will also discuss the possible fight against the illegal animal and plant trade on the darknet.

Wiebke Loosen: "Communicative AI" in the news

In the fifth lecture of the lecture series on technology and environmental ethics, Wiebke Loosen from the Leibniz Institute for Media Research talks about the entry of so-called communicative AI into the news cycle. Target group analysis to increase reach on the one hand and fear of job losses on the other. The journalism researcher will explore the advantages and disadvantages in her lecture on May 23.
