Central information for first-semester students

There is a first semester welcome event for each degree programme before the start of the lecture period. You should definitely take part!

You will find the current dates in the linked overview of events before the start of each semester.

Check the website of your degree programme / department to find out if there are any further offers before the start of your studies. These may include for example bridge courses, pre-courses and orientation weeks.

In the winter semester, there is also the central event "Welcome@H-BRS" to welcome all first-semester students.

A successful start to your studies requires sufficient time, a little practice and some knowledge. This is exactly where the fresher‘s programme of the Student Advice Centre comes in. It provides first semester students with support in the still unfamiliar everyday life of studying.

The online preparation courses for Mathematics are only available in German.
