Start-up Development and Impact Innovations (MBA)

Start-up scholarship

Initiative to promote an entrepreneurial mindset. The joint scholarship programme of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the Jürgen Wirtgen Foundation and the Stefan Wirtgen Foundation supports prospective founders and students on the Start-up Development and Impact Innovations (MBA) non-consecutive programme.

Creativity and innovative thinking as well as connectivity and solution-orientation are qualities that characterise an entrepreneurial mindset. However, not everyone has the financial means to fully realise their potential. This is exactly where the start-up scholarship comes in: In order to reduce the barrier to entry to the MBA degree programme and promote the potential for innovation, the aim is to support and encourage those (in the region) in particular to further their academic education and go into self-employment or start-ups.

A total of two start-up scholarships are provided per year (one via the Stefan Wirtgen Foundation and one via the Jürgen Wirtgen Foundation). The scholarship covers the entire tuition fees for the five-semester programme with a maximum of 19,500 euros (3,900 euros per semester and scholarship). If the duration of the fast-track programme is shortened to four semesters, the amount of financial support is reduced accordingly by the fees for one semester (EUR 3,900).

Interested parties can apply from 15 November 204 to 15 March 2025 for one of two start-up scholarships in the Start-up Development (MBA) degree programme for the summer semester 2025.

Stipendienunterzeichnung

Their motivation and start-up ideas are convincing: Marve Bazargani and Bianca Yang have successfully applied for a start-up scholarship for the winter semester 2023/24. The Master's students on the Start-up Development (MBA) degree programme at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) want to provide new answers to pressing social issues with their companies. The scholarship covers the tuition fees for the four-semester degree programme
