Staff Council

There are two staff councils at the H-BRS, one for academic staff and one for technical and administrative staff.

What is the function of the staff councils at the H-BRS?

The academic staff council represents the academic staff of the university towards the president, the staff council of the employees in technology and administration represents the interests of the corresponding employees towards the administrative management of the university, in this case the chancellor. Through the staff councils, staff are involved in internal service decisions at the university. They are responsible for ensuring that all protective regulations applicable to employees are observed. They are the spokespersons for all employees, but also mediators, helpers, co-decision-makers, sometimes controllers or contact persons for all official matters. All members of the staff councils are bound to secrecy.

The exact tasks of the staff council are laid down in the Federal Staff Representation Act and the NRW State Staff Representation Act and can be read there. Employees of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg can access internal information on the Staff Council via the workflow system DIAS or from the H-BRS Intranet.
