Continuity at the top of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg: Chancellor Angela Fischer is starting her second term in office. Today, she received her certificate of appointment from Ina Brandes, Minister for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Angela Fischer has been Chancellor since 2019 and was re-elected by the University Election Assembly last summer. She will remain in office until 31 March 2031.

Sound and sustainable financial planning, the recruitment and retention of specialists and the digitisation of administrative processes - these are the main challenges for the university in the coming years, as well as the further development of the locations, according to the Chancellor. Renovation work is still underway in Rheinbach as a result of the severe flood damage, and the campus expansion in Sankt Augustin will follow. Both sustainability and quality of stay are important aspects here.

"I am looking forward to my second term in office, because the university is well prepared for the future," said the Chancellor, who is fully committed to the new President's Office. "The university management sees itself as a team that is willing and able to tackle the challenges ahead together."
