Monday 27 April 2015

As of 1 March 2014, Dr. Martin Hamer has joined the IZNE team in his position as managing director.

For several years he conducted research in the field of environmental sciences and agronomics at the Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation at Bonn University as well as the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Riverside, USA. As managing director of a research platform he initiated and coordinated several international research networks. These oftentimes interdisciplinary research networks covered broad areas of value chains in the field of agriculture and food, and developed new technologies and concepts for the improvement of quality and risk management as well as sustainable food production. With his scientific background and his commitment within national and international networks, Hamer perfectly complements the current team. Hamer will be able to contribute to the effective implementation of IZNE's objectives.
