H-BRS in the top ten in the Wirtschaftswoche ranking

For the Wirtschaftswoche university ranking, over 500 HR managers from small, medium-sized and large companies were asked which universities they prefer to recruit graduates from. As part of this survey in January 2018, Computer Science and Business Informatics at H-BRS were voted into the top ten. Dean Prof Dr Wolfgang Heiden sees the ranking as confirmation of the good work of the Department of Computer Science.

Change the perspective

Academic brilliance is often the decisive factor in the relevant international rankings: How many articles do academics publish in which journals? How much research funding does a university attract? How many PhD students are supervised?
For HR managers at German companies, however, it is more important whether graduates have experience in group projects, whether they are bilingual, or whether they know the current challenges in the industry and are up to them. Communication skills and independence are also important recruitment criteria for the HR managers surveyed.
