E-Teacher Certificate Program

The Library's E-Learning department offers interested educators, teaching assistants, and university staff the opportunity for free qualification as E-Teachers.

E-Teacher - Studium und Lehre digital unterstützt

Through a combination of online and in-person workshops, you will explore ways to meaningfully support your individual teaching and learning scenarios using existing digital media. Additionally, you will learn about online tools and software for creating your own digital media, as well as the use of Open Educational Resources (OER). The program focuses not only on conveying media didactic approaches and methods but also on the direct implementation and application of what you learn, with a strong emphasis on the exchange of experiences.

Do you have an idea for a digital (teaching) project?

The qualification program guides you step by step through the implementation. While some theory is necessary, the program emphasizes practical application: you bring an individual (teaching) project (such as the production of an instructional video or the restructuring of your LEA course) that you specify and begin to implement during the program. Throughout this process, you will be accompanied by experts from the E-Learning Department and have the opportunity to seek expert feedback.

Overview of Modules

The certificate program takes place once per semester and has a total workload of at least 30 work units of 45 minutes each. It consists of three mandatory basic modules (M1-M3) and six advanced modules (M4-M9), of which at least two must be taken (you can choose freely).

Interested individuals can register for the E-Teacher Certificate Program in the winter semester 2023/24 until November 5, 2023, via LEA (login required).

To ensure optimal support during the program, the number of participants is limited. After your registration, you will receive feedback from us by November 9, 2023, at the latest, indicating whether we can offer you a spot.

Im Wintersemester 2023/24 findet die Auftaktveranstaltung des E-Teacher-Zertifikatsprogramms am Donnerstag, den 16. November 2023 von 14:00-15:30 Uhr statt; zum informellen Programmausklang treffen wir uns am Freitag, den 23. Februar 2023 von 14:00-16:00 Uhr. Beide Veranstaltungen finden in Präsenz in den Gruppenarbeitsräumen Valencia/Nijmegen der Bibliothek statt.
