Deutschlandstipendium - what do you need to know?
The Deutschlandstipendium provides funding for highly gifted students at a German university. Along with outstanding performance at school and university, the factors taken into account during the selection procedure include commitment to social causes and the willingness to assume responsibility. Credit is also given to students who have successfully overcome obstacles in their personal lives, for example in connection with their social or cultural origins.
The scholarships will be financed by private sponsors, each of whom will sponsor the students for at least one year. The federal government will top up each monthly donation of 150 Euro by another 150 Euro. The scholarship winners will therefore receive 300 Euro a month. This funding does not depend on your income or that of your parents. Neither is it offset against BAföG. The scholarships are awarded by the universities.

Along with the financial support, another significant advantage of the Deutschlandstipendium programme is the contact between students and sponsors. Read the testimonies from our sponsors and scholarship winners!
