Business Psychology (MSc)
Admission requirements for the Master's degree programme in Business Psychology
1) At least 30 ECTS credits in business psychology (work / personnel / organisational / financial / market, advertising and consumer psychology),
2.) at least 30 ECTS credits in methodology and diagnostics (business mathematics / statistics / psychological methodology / psychological diagnostics),
3.) at least 15 ECTS credits in basic subjects of psychology (general / physiological / differential / social / developmental psychology),
4.) at least 15 ECTS credit points in economics, and
5.) at least 15 ECTS credit points from an internship semester.
We do not offer an adjustment semester for missing credit points in the subject requirements. However, it is possible to reapply for a higher semester in the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Psychology at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in order to acquire the missing credits if the relevant academic achievements are available for placement in a higher semester. Please note that in order for the missing credits to be valid for admission to the Master's programme, you must have completed the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Psychology at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and that you can only be enrolled in a higher semester if you have not yet completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Psychology at another university. Please also note that admission to the higher semesters of the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Psychology at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is also restricted and therefore no guaranteed place can be given. German language skills
If you do not have a German-language secondary school or university degree, you must have the German language skills required for the degree programme through the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule or the DSH 2 (German Language Test for University Admission for Foreign Applicants) or through the TestDaF (Test for German as a Foreign Language) with level TDN 4 in all four examination areas.
Application deadline
Applications for the Master's degree programme in Business Psychology are only possible for the summer semester. The application period is from 15 November to 15 January each year.
To apply for the summer semester, the first professionally qualifying degree must have been completed by the end of the previous winter semester at the latest.
If the degree is not yet available by the application deadline (15 January), you have the option of submitting the degree with the corresponding average grade up to and including 31 March. This is a cut-off deadline. The admissions committee decides on admission to the allocation procedure for study places. The study places are allocated in an internal NC procedure according to the grade of the qualification (university degree). This procedure takes place at the beginning of April.
Documents for the application
Before you start entering data in the online application form, please check that you have all the documents you need for your application and that you need to upload them in the online application:
- University degree certificate including transcript of records (for foreign certificates with German or English translation);
- Transcript of records without university degree certificate, if the university degree is not yet available but will be obtained in the winter semester;
- APS certificate if you obtained your university degree in China, Vietnam or India;
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (TestDaF with a result of 4.4.4.4 or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule or DSH 2) if you have neither a German-language school or university degree.
Please note the application and enrolment deadlines. Applications received after the deadline or incomplete applications can no longer be considered!
