The aim of the degree programme is to qualify students for senior non-technical positions at a social insurance institution, in particular at a statutory accident insurance institution. The dual Bachelor's degree programme is characterised by its practical orientation and academic nature at the same time. The studies at the university are supplemented by extensive practical phases, seminar and case study work as well as excursions.

Innovative and interdisciplinary study

The degree programme is characterised by interdisciplinarity. Various disciplines are represented in the Department of Social Policy and Social Security, which work together on an equal footing under the umbrella of social insurance science. Legal issues are combined with aspects of economics, medicine, computer science, psychology and case management in the degree programme.

Target group

The degree programme is aimed at people who are looking for demanding professional challenges in the social sector. A high level of performance and willingness as well as enjoyment in dealing with people are equally important.
