3. Purpose of the survey and data processing

This survey serves to collect suggestions for improvement in teaching and research and to identify social issues that should be addressed at the university. It also looks at ways of using artificial intelligence and optimising processes and the structure of the university.

4. Voluntary participation and information

Participation in the survey is voluntary. Should a respondent decide to take part in the survey, information on the respondent's role at the university and the duration of their affiliation are mandatory fields. Answering all other questions is again voluntary. Respondents will not suffer any disadvantages if they do not participate or do not answer all questions.

5. Types of data processed

The following data will be processed as part of the survey:

  • Role of the respondent at the university (e.g. students, lecturers, employees, staff members, employees). Students, teaching staff, employees, alumni)
  • Duration of affiliation with the university
  • Voluntary information on suggestions for improvement, social issues and other questions
  • (optional) Name and email address if you wish to be contacted

6. Anonymous participation and registration on the website

The survey can be conducted anonymously if the respondent logs out of the website or the university intranet before participating. If participation is logged in, the user name will be transmitted but removed from the data set before evaluation.

7. Legal basis for processing

The processing of personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent of the data subject) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e GDPR (performance of a task carried out in the public interest).

8. Storage period and deletion of data

The personal data collected as part of the survey will be deleted after 8 weeks at the latest. The user name is removed immediately after data collection and before the data is analysed so that no conclusions can be drawn about individual participants. An exception to this is the voluntarily provided contact data, which may be used to contact the respondent if there are any queries about the answers. In any case, all information will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for the purposes stated.
The survey results will only be stored in aggregated and/or anonymised form.

9. Recipients of the data

The survey results will only be evaluated internally at the university for scientific and organisational purposes. They will not be passed on to third parties.

The survey results will only be published in aggregated form, which does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the participating persons.
