TOFI - Closing Conference for Strategic Partnerships
Important Key Data
The TOFI Final Conference has different focal points for the three conference days. The first conference day (Wednesday, 13.11.24) offers the strategic partner universities space for bilateral meetings at management level. On the second conference day (Thursday, 14.11.24), a program for invited guests will take place at the "Katholisch-Soziales Institut" (KSI) in Siegburg. On the last day of the conference (Friday, 15.11.24), which will be held on the H-BRS campus in Sankt Augustin, all H-BRS members are cordially invited to participate in the program. Please register in advance to participate. To do so, please contact us using the contact details at the bottom of the website and we will send you the registration form. Detailed information on the schedule of the programme on Thursday and Friday can be found further down on the website.

The TOFI project contributes to the internationalization of H-BRS and fosteres partnerships. The project promotes networking between institutions, teaching staff and students.
The first TOFI project cycle ends at the end of 2024. The project has been evaluated and strategic partner institutions have been approved by the H-BRS Executive Board. The German Jordanian University (GJU) in Jordan and the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana will work closely with H-BRS in the future as part of strategic partnerships.
At Conclusion of the first TOFI project cycle, a three-day final conference will take place from 13-15-11.2024 at various locations in Sankt Augustin and Siegburg. Representatives of H-BRS, the two partner institutions as well as external guests and partners will participate in the conference.
During the conference, findings from the first TOFI project cycle will be presented and strategic partnerships will be formally concluded. Various speakers will present content and there will be networking sessions. In addition, the conference will provide space for exchange between the partner institutions.

Cooperation with GJU
General information
The GJU is a Jordanian state university with campuses in Amman and Madaba. It is based on the model of German universities of applied sciences, whereby the study programs are based on German curricula. A unique feature of the GJU is the obligatory year in Germany for all students. There are currently around 4,500 students from over 30 nations enrolled on almost 30 degree programs at GJU. The students have access to a network of around 100 German universities of applied sciences where they can spend their year in Germany.

UCC is a public university that was recognized as the best university in Ghana and West Africa by Times Higher Education in 2021. UCC has been an important cooperation partner for H-BRS in various research and teaching projects since 2010.
