Career prospects
There is currently strong demand from companies and authorities - both regionally and nationally - for academically trained experts in Cyber Security & Privacy. Our graduates have a solid academic education in computer science and are therefore also qualified for the usual professional fields of activity of computer scientists. The path to academic research is also open to our graduates.
Those who wish to deepen their knowledge even further can then enrol on the research-oriented consecutive Master's degree programme in Cyber Security & Privacy, which has been offered since the winter semester 2023/2024.
The newly founded Institute for Cyber Security & Privacy (ICSP) at the Department of Computer Science enables current topics to be exchanged with international experts. Research projects are working on the further development of proposed solutions to improve security, which is why qualified employees are in demand in these areas.
