Visual Computing comprises the preparation, visualization, representation, animation and interactive processing of complex data. The field thus represents a fundamental, constantly growing pillar of the information technology and media industry. The games industry in particular has developed into one of the strongest cultural and media industries in Germany with a turnover of more than 3 billion euros in 2017.

The graduates of the Master Visual Computing & Games Technology programme acquire the prerequisites and qualifications for middle and senior management positions in the games sector as well as other branches, e.g.: 

  • Companies in the games industry and the entertainment industry
  • Supplier to the automotive industry for Human Machine Interface and autonomous driving 
  • Companies in the field of medical technology
  • Industrial enterprises with a focus on industry 4.0
  • Research institutions in the field of media informatics

  • Multimedia and advertising agencies as well as media service providers

  • (In-house) service providers for processing and visualizing large amounts of data
