PhD Scholarship Announcement 2024

The Graduate Institute (GI), the Institute for Safety and Security Research and the Department of Computer Science of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg are announcing several scholarships for academic staff, teaching staff for special tasks and graduates of the H-BRS. Applicants stand out due to an excellent degree, which generally entitles them to study for a PhD, are welcome to apply.

The main aim of a doctoral scholarship is to support PhDs financially in such a way that they can devote themselves primarily to their doctoral project and, in particular, complete their doctoral project within the generally envisaged standard doctoral period of 36 months. The scholarship is initially granted for 12 months. The extension of a doctoral scholarship is possible and is measured according to the respective valid guideline. A scholarship can be extended a maximum of two times, each time for a further 12 months. The maximum funding period is therefore 36 months. There is no entitlement to an extension.

Prerequisites of granting a H-BRS doctoral scholarship are the performance of research work at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the supervision of the PhD work by a professor of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg as well as the conditions set in the guidelines on granting a PhD scholarship.
