Access to the Bachelor's degree programme

An overview of options for admission to a Bachelor's degree programme at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences can be found in the “Link” box at the bottom of the website.

German applicants with foreign educational certificates can apply for recognition of eligibility to study at universities and universities of applied sciences in the Federal Republic of Germany. The educational qualifications must be recognised as being equivalent to a German general or subject-specific university entrance qualification.

Certificate holders can apply for recognition at the competent authority in the federal state in which they have their domicile or habitual residence. A certificate holder who has no habitual residence in the Federal Republic of Germany must submit the application for recognition to the Certificate Recognition Office of the Düsseldorf District Government (Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf).

German-language Bachelor's degree programmes: German language proficiency at level C1 CEFR

Applicants who have not obtained their university entrance qualification at a German-language educational institution must provide proof of German language proficiency at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) / DSH-2 or equivalent. Information on German language certificates accepted for admission at H-BRS can be found under ‘Links’ at the bottom of this page.

English-language and bilingual Bachelor's degree programmes: English language proficiency at level B2 CEFR

Applicants who have obtained their university entrance qualification in Germany have English language skills at level B2 CEFR. Applicants who do not hold an English-language secondary school leaving certificate or academic degree must provide proof of English language proficiency by submitting a certificate of an English language test accepted by the university.
