OBRS - One Button Recording Studio

The One Button Recording Studio is a fully automated film studio. The benefit is that university members can record (teaching) videos in professional settings even without technical assistance. Cameras, lighting, and sound are all tailored to the desired scene. There is one studio in the university library on the Sankt Augustin campus and one on the Rheinbach campus.

OBRS: Easy and professional to your "one-person-show".

You will find our One Button Recording Studio in Sankt Augustin at the back of the learning centre in the university library. You can't miss the entrance next to the large moss wall. At the Rheinbach campus, the OBRS is located in a soundproofed red box. When you enter the library, keep to the right and you will be right in front of it.

In the OBRS, university members and library patrons can implement their own video and sound recordings easily and without outside help. With just one press of a button, you can start the entire recording process. It doesn't matter whether the users already have experience or are dealing with the technology for the first time. Our studio offers them a user-friendly environment to create high-quality recordings - without any prior technical knowledge. In the end, our "content producers" receive a professional result that convinces.

In our OBRS, users have various scenarios to choose from. They can decide for themselves whether they want to show their own presentation, plan a conversation with two people or use the document camera in the studio. Of course, it is also possible to show other screen contents of their own device. Alternatively, they can also use our studio tablet.

User licence for the OBRS

Before you can use the full potential of the One Button Recording Studio, successful completion of the OBRS learning module is required. This quick course takes about 15 minutes and teaches you all the basics for effective use of the studio. Once completed, you can conveniently book the OBRS online and start recording your videos. The learning module is only available in German. If you have any questions about this, please contact the videoLAB team.
