Information for Students

The Centre for Teaching Development and Innovation (ZIEL)

At H-BRS we value teaching and learning. For this reason, we have established the Centre for Teaching Development and Innovation (ZIEL). All teaching staff at H-BRS have the opportunity to receive training in higher education didactics through workshops and other formats in order to continually improve their teaching.

However, we also engage internationally through research contributions (scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)), conference visits and international workshops that we run or attend as part of partnership projects with other universities to ensure that our teaching is always up to date.

In addition, in order to enrich the teaching at H-BRS, various working groups of teaching staff work on didactic issues in higher education.

We are guided by our mission statement, "Leitbild Lehre", as our fundamental understanding of good teaching, which leads to the best possible learning environment for students.
