About us

The central guiding principle of the Department of Management Sciences and Business Administration at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is practice-oriented, scientific teaching and research in close collaboration with companies, organizations, and societal groups.

Since its establishment in 1995, the Department of Management Sciences and Business Administration at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has been based on creating bridges between academic knowledge and practical fields of action. The goal is to develop and foster our students' abilities to become qualified, critical, and responsible leaders who can independently develop and advocate for solutions to problems. In addition to imparting subject knowledge, enhancing practical skills and students' personal development is highly important to us.

Derived from practical requirements, internationality is also a focus of research and teaching in our department. This strengthens the intercultural competence of students and faculty and supports the acquisition of foreign language skills and international mobility. Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, as well as the Department of Management Sciences and Business Administration, is exceptionally well-positioned due to its outstanding performance in relevant university rankings, and the range of measures to enhance the quality of teaching, research, and student support has continuously expanded.

Additionally, the department is developing its own applied research profile in sustainable corporate development. Increased collaboration with economic actors from the region ensures a close interconnection and mutual knowledge transfer between the department and the region.
