The ‘German Network - Health Tourism Destinations’ dialogue group will hold regular meetings to facilitate the exchange of experiences in this special niche market, discuss potential and challenges and find a common voice nationwide.

Discussion group - German Network Health Tourism Destinations

In 2021, Mariam Asefi founded the ‘German Network Health Tourism Destinations’ discussion group at the university, in which nationwide representatives of destinations for the marketing of health tourism in Germany participate.

This closes the interface between the working group of clinics and the nationwide tourism organisations.

Kick-Off „German Network – Health Tourism Destinations”

Initiated by the medical tourism research department of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Mariam Asefi, a kick-off event for networking German destinations in the field of medical and health tourism took place at the visitBerlin stand on 9 March. A foundation stone was laid for future close cooperation between German destinations active and interested in medical tourism.
