Respekt! Diversity Day Poster

Our brain makes over 20,000 decisions every day. We reduce complexity by using mental shortcuts and sorting information into categories. This process is accompanied by unconscious cognitive distortions, so-called unconscious biases. This influences our thinking and our decisions without us realising it.

Gender bias means that people are treated or judged differently based on gender stereotypes. We often (unconsciously) assume that men are superior to women.

This keynote lecture highlights the effects of gender bias on our (university) lives and offers practical recommendations and tips for everyday life.
