Vice President International Affairs and Diversity (VP3)
Countering digital violence
Date
Thursday, 17 October 2024
Time
14:00 - 15:00
Location
Room A102 - Campus Sankt Augustin
Workshop
Who are the perpetrators, who are the victims? How can I protect myself and what help is available? These and other questions will be answered in collaboration with the participants.
Case studies and specific methods of dealing with the situation will be presented. In addition, a general overview of the topic of digital violence will be provided, as well as ways to recognise digital violence, counteract it and use preventative strategies.
HateAid offers those affected by digital violence a free counselling service and funding for legal costs. People who experience hate and hate speech online, who are insulted, slandered or threatened, can contact HateAid. They help anyone who does not spread hate themselves - regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, political opinion or physical integrity.
Target group: Externs, students, employees
Event language: German
Registration: No registration required
Organiser: Torben Kirschner (HateAid: https://hateaid.org/)
