The Start-up-Manufaktur is the main contact point for start-ups at H-BRS. We offer H-BRS employees a wide range of consultation, information events and access to the regional start-up ecosystem, whether you are working in the academic field or in administration, as well as professors.

We are sure that exciting business ideas can arise from science. But even if you are active in other areas at the university – we look forward to supporting you in building your start-up!

We offer a free start-up consulting service to support you on your journey. Our start-up scouts Alida and Christoph can help you with your marketing strategy, financing or business model.

Financial support is often a big challenge for founders. There are various financing options for young companies, a brief overview can be found below or in our Founding-FAQs. Many scholarships are also aimed for academics or other university staff in NRW:
