On Wednesday 16 October, the first International Sewing and Handicraft Bee took place as part of the Diversity Day at our university. Around 20 international and German students from different departments as well as a few staff members attended, choosing between sewing, knitting and cross stitch. Before long, everyone was busy working on their “project” or helping someone else.

The time flew by, and the general consensus was that the sewing bee should become a regular event. What could be better for that than the run-up to Christmas? The next sewing bee is scheduled for 04 December at 16:30.

Are you interested? If so, feel free to come and bring any project you are working on, or just come along and get inspiration – we will have a few ideas and materials for you to try out! If you would like to join us, please contact Jill Yates (jill.yates@h-brs.de) for more details.
