Students love Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg

Tuesday 20 September 2011

Whether it's the Study Quality Monitor of Hochschul-Informations-System GmbH (HIS) or StudiVZ: Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg also scores very well in this year's surveys. Students enjoy studying here and are extremely satisfied.

In the ranking of universities in German-speaking countries, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg took 5th place with a grade of 1.9. For the evaluation, students were asked about facilities, study conditions, practical relevance and study location.

The university also scored very well in the Study Quality Monitor (SQM), the results of which were presented in the summer semester. The SQM surveys the quality of studies and study conditions from the students' perspective. It looks at expectations of studying and the personal study situation as well as the organisation and quality of teaching, research and practical relevance, supervision and advice, service areas and technical equipment or the library

In the area of e-learning - the area where students still see a need to catch up - the university has further developed its offering and now provides a university-wide platform with LEA. This service can only be included in the assessment in the next ranking.

Other than this, the university scores highly with students in terms of its Registrar's Office, Examinations Office and general services, the availability of laboratory and IT workstations, the facilities and the organisation of studies. All aspects of the courses on offer are rated above average, not least the good relationship between students and lecturers and the good feeling of not getting lost in the crowd are emphasised.

By the way, prospective students who are interested in electrical engineering or technical journalism can still enrol for the winter semester. Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg has additional places on offer here.
