Remote Lab honoured again

Professor Dr Iris Groß, Vice President for Studies, Teaching and Continuing Education, was one of the first to congratulate: "We support our students with both traditional classroom teaching and modern digital methods. I'm delighted that the innovative approach of the remote lab is appealing to students as well as external experts."

The award-winning project combines a laboratory experiment that can be operated via the internet with instructional videos. This allows students to work through technical content themselves and apply it directly in the experiment.

Worldwide use

Both videos and Remote Lab are open teaching materials that can be accessed worldwide. Winzker explains: "The access statistics give us important insights into usage. The educational videos were accessed from over 60 countries, while the Remote Lab was accessed from over 20 countries on all continents. We are currently cooperating with our partner university Chernihiv National University of Technology, Ukraine, through which subtitles have been translated into Ukrainian and the Remote Lab is being used in teaching."
