In the new CHE ranking, the departments of Natural Sciences (AnNa) and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism (EMT) were examined with the bachelor's degree programmes Applied Biology, Chemistry with Materials Science, Natural Science Forensics, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Overall, students are satisfied with the study situation at H-BRS. The AnNa department is also in the top group of the universities assessed in terms of studying abroad, the laboratory situation and the range of courses on offer. The EMT department scored top marks for student support, the introductory phase of studies and contact with professional practice.

"The results of the survey strengthen us as a university and confirm our claim of a strong application focus in teaching," says Prof Dr Iris Groß, Vice President of Studies, Teaching and Continuing Education. In terms of supervisors in teaching and exams, H-BRS ranks in the middle group of participating universities. The University and District Library achieved a top position in both departmental surveys.

The ZEIT study guide with the CHE university ranking answers the most important questions about starting a degree programme, helps you decide on the right subject and the right place to study and provides tips on applying and financing your studies. The CHE ranking is the most comprehensive in the German-speaking world with more than 300 universities analysed
