New Umbrella Organisation for the “2+2“ Programme

On 16 September the third year of students from Hunan University was given a warm welcome at the Rheinbach Campus. Thus, the Institute for International Studies, which is attached to H-BRS and which, so to speak, provides the umbrella organisation for this degree programme, has now commenced operations.

And yet, the more than 20 students have been here for several weeks, swotting German and Intercultural Communication. By no means do they start learning German from scratch; instead, they started studying the language when they were still in their home country.

So far, the binational programme in collaboration with Hunan University has been a pilot project offered by the Rheinbach Department of Management Studies. While the first students are about to complete their Bachelor’s degree programme, the third year of students has now enrolled in the study programme under the organisational management of the BRS Institute for International Studies (BRS IIS).

The charitable Institute is aimed at devising and implementing application-oriented academic courses of study and further-education programmes with an international focus in collaboration with H-BRS. Professor Dr. Jürgen Bode (Department of Management Sciences) is the Managing Director and Chair of the Executive Board.
