Date
Wednesday, 01 June 2022
Time
17:00 - 18:00

Our current main product is X4: Foundation, the ultimate single player space sim for PC, which was released originally in 2018 and has received three major expansions, the last of which X4: Tides of Avarice was released in April 2022.

Bernd Lehahn is the founder of Egosoft and has been in the game development business since 1990. During Egosoft's first ten years he worked as a programmer and lead designer, but moved over to management duties as the company grew. However, Bernd is still heavily involved in the company's creative work. His background as a programmer and his knowledge of game design gives him the unique position to oversee the creative process and technical implementation, as well as acting as the product owner.
Egosoft is located in the town of Wuerselen, Germany; close to the Dutch border. It is one of Germany's oldest independent game developers and was founded by Bernd Lehahn about 30 years ago as a sole proprietorship. In its early years, the company's focus was on advertisement games and adventure games. Since then, the company has been growing and the product focus has shifted to story-driven space simulators. In 2006, Egosoft became a limited company (GmbH) and today represents a small but very important group of independent game developers with its own international network of distributors, partners and customers.
