- 1996 - 2002: Completed an M.A. degree programme in English Language and Literature and Political Science at Bonn University and Southampton University (Great Britain)
- 2002 - 2007: Worked as a freelance teacher for English at various institutions
- 2008: Headed the department for English and other languages at Volkshochschule Bonn (adult education centre)
- 2009: Coordinated the "Zentralstelle für Schlüsselkompetenzen" (responsible for organising soft skills courses) at Bonn University
- January 2010 - September 2017: Lecturer in English at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences
- March 2012 - September 2017: Deputy Director of the Language Centre
- July 2015 - April 2016: International Diploma in Language Teaching Management, International House Barcelona
