RISE-Germany Scholarships
In recent years, some doctoral students of H-BRS have been successful in applications of the RISE-Germany programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). With RISE Germany the DAAD supports the international exchange in the natural and engineering sciences. Bachelor students from the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Ireland receive a scholarship for an internship in Germany and are supervised by doctoral students on site. The demand for scientists as well as engineers with international experience has risen sharply in business and research. With RISE the DAAD offers a funding instrument to meet this demand.
Bachelor students complete an internship with a doctoral candidate or a scientist (Universities of Applied Sciences only) and are supervised by him or her professionally and personally. The interns support the doctoral student in the experimental work of the doctorate and the scientists in experimental research. The projects come from the natural and engineering sciences and related disciplines. The DAAD places and supports the interns with a scholarship. The internships take place during the summer months and the working language is usually English.
The Graduate Institute is pleased that some of its doctoral members had been selected to supervise interns in the past. These are/were among others:
