Vacation childcare "Try it"

The Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, University of Applied Sciences would like to make it easier for all university parents to combine work/study and family. To this end, the Equal Opportunity Office organizes the free vacation childcare "Try it" for primary school children during the Easter and Autumn school holidays.

Vacation care for elementary school children is offered at the H-BRS each Easter and Autumn school holidays.

Dates Easter 2024

2.4. to 5.4.2024 from 8.30 am to 3 pm

During the Easter vacations, vacation care at the campus Sankt Augustin only takes place in the second week of the vacations.

Late care until 4.30 p.m. can only be offered if a certain number of children register.

Dates autumn 2024

21.10.2024 to 25.10.2024 from 8.30 am to 3 pm

During the autumn vacations, vacation care will taken place in the second week of the vacations at the campus Sankt Augustin.

Late care until 4.30 p.m. can only be offered if a certain number of children register.

The vacation program takes place from a registration number of six children per vacation week.

The use of the "Try it" holiday childcare program constitutes a non-cash benefit for employees and is therefore to be regarded as income subject to tax and social security contributions, which must be reported to the LBV. Please take this into account.

In addition, we will be happy to assist you in finding suitable vacation offers. Upon request, we will be happy to send you a list of offers from other organizations.

Reimbursement of childcare costs during the vacations

For vacation care outside H-BRS, employees will be reimbursed 50 euros per week per child (aged up to and including 16) (maximum 250 euros per year). This use represents a non-cash benefit and is therefore to be regarded as income subject to tax and social security contributions, which must be reported to the LBV.

Prerequisites: The employee's child participates in a fee-based, child-friendly vacation care program offered by a recognized organization while the parents fulfill their work obligations.
