Bonn

If you arrive at Cologne/Bonn Airport, the best way to reach the main train station and thus the city centre is to take bus 60 (Airport Express) to "Bonn Hauptbahnhof" (travel time approximately 30 minutes, cost approximately 8.20 Euro). Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver or from one of the VRS (Verkehrsbund Rhein-Sieg) ticket machines. Cabs are expensive in Germany; for the distance from the airport to Bonn main station you should calculate about 50 Euro.

Rheinbach

Rheinbach campus can be reached from Bonn main station by taking the regional train in the direction of Rheinbach / Euskirchen / Bad Münstereifel to the "Rheinbach Bahnhof" stop. The trip takes about 30 minutes and costs about 5.30 Euro (Regio-Ticket 3). From the station, Keramiker Strasse leads straight to the university.

Saint Augustin

From Bonn main station, you can reach the Sankt Augustin campus of the university by taking the U 66 city line (Telekom Express) in the direction of "Siegburg". Get off at the stop "Sankt Augustin Zentrum - Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg" and cross the pedestrian bridge. Then walk straight across the marketplace of the shopping centre and follow the signs to Grantham-Allee. The trip takes about 20 minutes and costs about 4.00 Euro (City Plus Ticket 2b) for one way. You can buy a ticket at the ticket machine. You must have a valid ticket, otherwise you will have to pay a high penalty fee if you are checked.

Frankfurt Airport is not only the largest German airport, but also the one with most international connections. If you arrive here, it is best to take the train to Bonn. The trip takes about 2 hours and costs about 40-70 Euro. You can buy a ticket at a ticket machine or at the counter in the "DB-Reisezentrum" at the train station in the airport.

You can also go to Siegburg/Bonn and from there take the U 66 city line to Bonn main station.
