"Shortest writing day of the year" meets with great interest
Students and researchers from various departments used the afternoon and evening to find out about a wide range of topics relating to academic writing in workshops and to receive individual advice.
Seven workshops were held in German and English to provide information on the topic of "Academic writing". Among other things, there were tips on developing a research question, managing literature with Zotero and paraphrasing texts correctly. In addition, the potential of AI in scientific work was demonstrated in a workshop using various AI tools. A hybrid workshop was also offered as part of the “BibLounge” series of events.
Between workshops, participants were able to enjoy snacks and drinks and exchange ideas across the different faculties. The book exhibition on the topic of “Academic writing” was an inviting place to browse.
The staff of the Writing Centre and the library were available for consultations during the evening and were able to provide help and advice for more extensive individual questions.
You are welcome to take advantage of the advice offered by the library and the Writing Centre, we look forward to your visit - on site and digitally!
