Friday 19 July 2024

The examination administration for the Department of Computer Science has been switched from SIS or DIAS to Apollo.(1) Students and examiners in the Department of Computer Science will therefore now only deal with examination-related matters using Apollo - and no longer with SIS or DIAS.

Students and examiners in the Department of Computer Science should therefore familiarise themselves with the documentation linked below.

Apollo can be reached at the following address:  https://apollo.h-brs.de

Information for students

For students, this applies in particular to exam registrations and cancellations as well as the retrieval of transcripts of records. The functions provided in Apollo are documented on the information portal:  https://info.h-brs.de/de/apollo

Dazu einige wichtige, aktuelle Hinweise für Studierende:

  • For written examinations, the correct examination room is displayed in Apollo at the earliest 3 days before the examination (no longer in the SIS!).
  • Centrally allocated oral examination dates can be viewed 3 to 5 working days before the examination date in the following LEA course: https://lea.hochschule-bonn-rhein-sieg.de/goto.php?target=fold_1595734&client_id=db_040811
(Please note: Only centrally allocated dates (3 to 5 days before the exam) can be found there. For oral examinations that are not published there (4 days before the examination date), please contact your respective first examiner directly. If you have agreed other dates with your lecturer, the lecturer's dates are valid for you).
  • The time of the exam is now also taken into account when calculating the exam cancellation deadline. The exact cancellation deadline (including time) is displayed in Apollo for the respective exam.

Information for examiners

For examiners, the change particularly affects the entry of grades and the retrieval of participation lists. The documentation can be found there after successful MIA login(2):  https://info.h-brs.de/de/intern

In addition, there have already been two system briefings for examiners via Webex. There will be further corresponding Webex dates on 31 July 2024 at 2 p.m. and after the holiday phase or before the next examination phase. The corresponding Webex link for the date on 31 July has already been communicated by email. The Webex link for the later date will follow. In these Webex sessions, however, only the content that is also documented under the above-mentioned link will be presented anyway.

Supplementary notes

to (1):

H-BRS is gradually introducing the new HISinOne campus management system. The HISinOne instance at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is called ‘Apollo’. This name is an acronym for ‘Application Portal Learning - Teaching - Organising’.

Student applications and student administration have been realised with Apollo for some time. Since September 2023, examination administration has also been gradually switched to Apollo. Following Departments 03 and 05, this changeover also took place for Department 02 (Computer Science) in July 2024.
