Data Saturday Rhineland 2024 a complete success
On 29 June 2024, the conference attracted around 200 participants. The focus was on topics such as data management, artificial intelligence, cloud and hybrid architectures, analytics, business intelligence and more. In addition to students and employees of H-BRS, a colourful audience of experts and interested parties was welcomed.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Alda, who emphasised the special nature of the event and its importance for the department. The day before, almost 70 participants had already had the opportunity to take an in-depth look at topics such as business analysis and data visualisation in three workshops.
On Saturday, conference participants were able to choose from 30 presentations given by renowned speakers from Germany and abroad, including representatives from Microsoft and Google. These presentations covered current fields of application and technical aspects of database systems and invited active discussions.
The participant who travelled the furthest was Reza Rad from Auckland, New Zealand. During his holiday in Europe, the founder of RADACAD and Microsoft Regional Director did not miss the opportunity to give a presentation on Microsoft Copilot, the new AI-based assistance function for Microsoft applications.
In addition to the application-related presentations, there were also sessions on topics such as "Artificial intelligence in the everyday life of a data engineer" and "Utilisation of ADHD in adults in the world of data analysis", which offered further valuable insights.
